Feb. 2024 - Build Crew completed repairs and built shelves at Manchester Animal Shelter
Pete McNamara, Executive Director of Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter was so happy our Build Crew was able to help make some repairs recently at the shelter and he had this to say; "Part of our mission is to feed our furry guests in house and also provide pet food to low income residents of Manchester. The dedicated volunteers from Nashua's Habitat for Humanity reworked our canine food prep area as well as the pet food pantry to help us be more efficient and store more food. Their enthusiasm and energy made all of us smile."
Community Partnership with Manchester Animal Shelter, in Manchester, NH, USA. A non-profit NO-KILL animal shelter rescuing abandoned & stray animals.
About Manchester Animal Shelter
Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization which started in 1996. The shelter takes in homeless, abused, and abandoned animals in the city of Manchester. We provide shelter, medical care, and spay/neuter to every animal that comes through our doors. In operation for over two decades, the shelter has helped provide care and find loving homes for over 25,000 animals.
At the Manchester Animal Shelter, we believe all animals are deserving of life, respect and care. Our goal is zero-population-growth through spay/neuter programs and services that focus on education, medical care, fostering and adoption.

We are so grateful to United Way for all of the hard work they do and support they give to our community!

United Way of Greater Nashua is an independent, non-profit organization controlled by local donors. It was established in 1930 when business leaders helped raise $42,677 to assist local families who were suffering from the community’s greatest problems of the time: the Great Depression and the aftermath of the Crown Hill fire.
We’ve been here ever since, bringing together donors, businesses, non-profits, government, and faith-based communities to make our region a stronger, healthier place to learn, live and work for all of us.
We invest in the building blocks of a good quality life namely:

We just love to partner with The Front Door agency! We have worked together quite a few times and look forward to many more opportunities to work with them in the future! Our Core Build Crew volunteered their time, labor and construction skills to build a swing set (purchased from a grant from Conway Area); for the families living in our Vine Street housing facility. We also invited them to our Playhouse Project build and Law Family Companies jumped in to sponsor them in this exciting event. Their team did an amazing job building, painting and decorating the playhouse that they will keep for their Norwell Home!
